Iration is an alternative/reggae group of musicians formed in Isla
Vista, CA. The group is made up of members Joseph Dickens
(drums), Joseph King (Engineer), Cayson Peterson
(Keyboard/Synth), Micah Pueschel (Guitar/Vox), Kai Rediske
(Vocal/Percussion) and Adam Taylor (Bass). All members met while
growing up in Hawaii but formed Iration after reconnecting in Santa
Barbara, Ca. They have since released two fulllength albums, Time
Bomb (2010) and No Time for Rest (2007), as well as three EP’s, New
Roots (2006), Sample This EP (2008) and Fresh Grounds (2011).
Time Bomb, which has sold 30K+ copies, hit #1 on the iTunes reggae
album chart and remains within the top 20 on Billboard’s Reggae
Album Chart to this day. Time Bomb included: “Turn Around” (which
spent 11 weeks at #1 on San Diego’s 91X, hit #1 on Riverside’s KCXX
and on Santa Barbara’s KJEE, was in rotation at Honolulu’s KUCD
and Sacramento’s KKDO, as well as being streamed on LA based
KROQ), “Time Bomb”(which reached #1 on Santa Barbara’s KJEE),
and “Falling”(the single that has moved 70K units since inclusion on
Time Bomb and Sample This EP, was an iTunes Discovery Download,
also reached #1 on Santa Barbara’s KJEE, and #3 on Honolulu’s
KUCD). Their most recent release Fresh Grounds which debuted at #1
on the Billboard Heatseeker’s Chart and #114 on the Billboard Top
200 chart. The single from their Fresh Grounds EP “Summer Nights”
reached #2 on the iTunes reggae singles chart. Combined, Iration has
sold hundreds of thousands of singles from their recording catalog.
The true essence of Iration is best captured live where they are able to
fully demonstrate their original brand of soulful, melody driven
reggae, pop and rock.

They recently finished recording their 3rd fulllength album
Automatic. The album combines elements of reggae, rock and pop to
create a truly unique listening experience. Automatic includes
production and instrumentation from Lincoln Parish, the guitarist
from Kentucky's band Cage the Elephant, as well as the band’s
previous studio, partner JP Hesser. The album also includes guest
appearances by keyboardist Rami Jaffee (Wallflowers, Foo Fighters)
and Jessy Greene (Foo Fighters, Wilco, Atmosphere) on strings. The
first single from Automatic, “Porcupine,” was released September 11
2012 on the band’s own 3 Prong Records and has since been in
rotation on multiple radio stations in Southern California, CO
Springs, and AL. Iration's full length version of Automatic is due out
in 2013.

Iration have been touring nationally since 2008, have performed at
festivals such as: Lollapalooza , Wakarusa, Sierra Nevada World
Music Festival; and headlined several successful national headline
club tours that have included multiple sold out shows throughout the
country. In an effort to begin promoting new music, this winter 2013
Iration will embark on a US western regional headline tour with
support from east coast friends Passafire and So Cal's Pacific Dub.
These Hawaiian-raised musicians look forward to spreading their
original sound and aloha spirit as far as possible while never
forgetting to get a surf in when possible.

On Passafire’s fifth studio release, Vines, the Savannah, GA based rock outfit continues to progress towards what they feel is their true identity as a band in the reggae rock genre. After starting fresh with several new pieces to the puzzle on their 2011 release, Start From Scratch, they have now teamed up with Easy Star Records (Easy Star All Stars, John Brown’s Body, The Green, Cas Haley) for what the band considers their best album yet. “Passafire continues to stretch Easy Star’s sound and style,” says Lem Oppenheimer, co-founder of the label. “They bring a harder rock edge while still grounding their music in a progressive reggae base. They fit the mold of all of our artists: dedicated, hard working, touring their butts off, and never settling for what people expect of them.”

Passafire was formed in 2003 by students attending Savannah College of Art and Design. Throughout the years, they have become a perpetually touring band playing hundreds of shows a year with bands like 311, Rebelution, Slighty Stoopid, Pepper, Matisyahu, The Wailers and many more. Bowne doesn’t mind the grueling schedule and adds, “Touring is the best way to keep the buzz about the band going. What keeps it fun and exciting is the people we meet and places we get to see. We are in a new city every day so there’s always something to go see or do. If we didn’t tour constantly, we wouldn’t be doing as well as we are. That’s a fact.”
