Bear Hands Announce Fall Tour

Today, Bear Hands is revealing an alternate video to "Agora" from the band's recent full length Distraction (Cantora). The video, which was directed by Sami Jano and Steve Meierding,
playfully incorporates the track's lyrics into a wildly colorful montage of cluttered items strewn around the home of the titular agoraphobe. The video is available to stream or embed HERE.

Bear Hands has already had a notably busy year, but even after a tireless tour regimen with stops at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Made in America and more, the band is all but slowing down. The group has now extended their touring season even further with the addition of new dates, beginning on September 5 at the KRBZ Beach Ball in Kansas City, MO and concluding on November 15 at The Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY. These shows, which feature
support from Fences on select dates, include a hometown show at the Bowery Ballroom on October 6. The current list of tour dates is below, with more to be announced soon.
Distraction has been met with praise, with Pretty Much Amazing singling out Distraction cut "Bone Digger" as "just too funky to have come from human hands." Shortly after the release of Distraction, NPR called them one of the best discoveries of SXSW 2014, lauding their "serious, intricate pop." Pigeons and Planes praised Distraction's "bevy of jangling guitars and energetic songwriting," while Consequence of Sound noted that "no matter the individual song's components, though, an underlying punk ethos still shines thanks to their insatiable sense of curiosity and their utter creative fearlessness." Death and Taxes said that Distraction "blends lush guitar textures with irresistible melodies to pleasing effect," while Alternative Press said "Bear Hands are great... and they're evolving faster than most of the stuff on your hard drive."

Authority Zero release new video for "Lift One Up"

Mesa, Arizona’s influential punk veterans Authority Zero have just released their new video for "Lift One Up" off their current release "The Tipping Point" Out Now on Hardline Entertainment

Catch the band on their upcoming RISE TO THE FALL US TOUR in Denver and Colorado Springs! Tickets available at

Watch The Video Here!
It's finally here! Back in early 2014 we put out the concert of doing a "Shakeface" video for our latest single Lift One Up off The Tipping Point. The song embraces the concept of celebration of life, friendships, and the music that brings us all together in celebration of just that. The concept was meant to involve people from all around the world and so we asked everyone to send us in their "Shakeface" videos. The driving force behind it was to make our fans and friends the biggest part of the video and what it represented. Good times, good friends, and letting loose. Unfortunately many of the videos we received we unusable due to quality or misunderstanding, so rather than exclude anyone for that purpose, we've chosen to do two versions of the video. Here is the video we shot on location in Tempe, Arizona with the full on show combined with all our local friends and family doing the "Shakeface" and getting rad at the show that day. Jason broke a rib that day during performance (which we decided to leave in for fun), people were damn near passing out, and everyone had a killer time. A huge thank you from all of us to you for attending and making it possible! Shortly after the release of this video we will be also releasing a full on "Shakeface" video with every single video (regardless of quality or filming) in it! So here it is! After months of editing, re-editing, and conceptual changes, we present you with our Official Video Premier For "Lift One Up"!
Enjoy, Jason Devore

Riot Fest and Sideshow Denver Announce New Location for 2014!

Denver's Riot Fest & Sideshow to be Staged at
Sports Authority Field at Mile High and Byers is Coming Along

Byers, Colorado and May Farms to be recreated onsite
Riot Fest Officially Files Formal Appeal With Arapahoe County
For immediate release – July 18, 2014
Riot Fest is happy to announce that after visiting many great venues over the course of the past week that Sports Authority Field at Mile High will be the official home for Riot Fest & Sideshow, Sept, 19-21, 2014 in Denver, Colorado.
Although dozens of venues were interested in hosting the event, organizers chose the stadium for several factors, one of which being that stadium management have allowed Riot Fest to recreate Byers, Colorado and May Farms on the new fest grounds.  Riot Fest made many friends in the Byers community, and it truly saddens organizers to be forced to move the fest away from its inaugural home – but if the farm is unavailable, they’ll bring the farm to Denver. Moreover, as previously promised, free parking will be made available to the festival's patrons, and Mile High's location will allow for public transportation options through the RTD.  All tickets will be honored at the new location and refunds for those who purchased camping spots will be processed starting today.
Outside of bringing the May Farms aesthetic to the new site, organizers will also go ahead with the previously planned carnival rides and games, a miniature golf course, lucha libre, a large circus tent with oddities performers and a long list of amazing food vendors.  Other plans include turfing the parking lot of the stadium and bringing all the things people love about May Farms (tractors, hay bales, etc) together with all the things to love about a country fair (rides, a pie eating contest, apple bobbing and more).  Even the stages and vendor rows have been renamed to indicate Riot Fest’s support of Byers, Colorado.
To thank the Byers residents, Riot Fest organizers have also confirmed the following:
  • Any Byers resident who wants to come to Riot Fest this year will receive complimentary tickets as well as free daily shuttle service to and from May Farms and Sports Authority Field.  Details will be announced next week on how residents can sign-up for this.
  • Riot Fest will also allow several Byers businesses and other I-70 Corridor businesses who supported them free vending space at no cost.
  • Riot Fest has also announced a $5,000 scholarship to be awarded to one graduating senior who plans on majoring in music, arts, business or marketing.  Riot Fest has now asked other partners, industry friends and other Colorado businesses to contribute in hopes of getting that scholarship up to $20,000.
Hundreds of residents of Byers wrote letters and showed support for Riot Fest in the past weeks and organizers would sincerely like to thank them for their support.  Although Riot Fest has now officially chosen Sports Authority Field at Mile High as their 2014 home and will not move, producers will formerly file an appeal this morning against the Arapahoe County’s decision regarding their 2014 temporary use permits.
One, two, and three-day passes for Denver's festival are still available and on sale now at or visit for more information

Riot Fest & Sideshow Full Album Surprises!

Riot Fest Unveils “10 Years. 10 Essential Albums.”
For Chicago & Denver
Ten Bands To Play Their Seminal Albums at Riot Fests

On the heels of announcing Riot Fest in three cities within the past week (Toronto, Chicago and Denver), organizers have released the first big surprise in celebration of Riot Fest’s 10th Anniversary, entitled “10 Years. 10 Essential Albums.”
“During last year’s Violent Femmes’ set at Riot, where they performed Violent Femmes unannounced in its entirety, it dawned on me that if we ever did an album play thing at Riot, we should make it something that the fans would remember years from now,” said Michael Petryshyn, Riot Fest partner. “So, I literally was walking back to my trailer after their set and it hit me… ‘10 Years. 10 Essential Albums.’… and yeah, it grew from there.”
To help celebrate Riot Fest’s 10th Anniversary, ten bands have joined in to play their seminal albums either at Riot Fest in Chicago or in both Denver and Chicago. Nine of the bands have been released today:
Jane’s Addiction: Nothing’s Shocking (Chicago)
The Offspring: Smash (Chicago)
Weezer: “The Blue Album” (Chicago & Denver)
Slayer: Reign in Blood (Chicago & Denver)
Samhain: Initium (Chicago)
NOFX: Punk In Drublic (Chicago & Denver)
Descendents: Milo Goes To College (Chicago)
Naked Raygun: Throb Throb (Chicago)
The Get Up Kids: Something To Write Home About (Chicago)
There is one more album organizers are holding close to their chests, but have promised to unveil it in a separate announcement in the upcoming weeks, as well as additional 10th Anniversary surprises.
“We have one more band playing an album that we’re immensely excited about… but it wouldn’t be Riot if we didn’t tease a little beforehand,” chuckles Petryshyn. “No matter what though, this is really about thanking our fans. The work put into the lineups this year and things like the essential albums plays is for them… as clichéd as it may sound, it’s the truth. We’d be nowhere without them and maybe the way we thank them is by giving them a fest where we can all sing along."
Riot Fest is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year, and to celebrate organizers have assembled three festivals in North America this September: Toronto's Riot Fest & Expo (9/6-9/7) at Downsview ParkChicago's Riot Fest & Carnival (9/12-9/14) in Humboldt Park, and Denver's Riot Fest & Sideshow (9/19-9/21) at May Farms.

Tickets for Riot Fest & Sideshow Denver are available here. More band announcements are forthcoming as well as a few more 10th Anniversary surprises. posted: May 16, 2014

Spirit, Soul, & Song Tour Cancelled

Unfortunately, both Spirit, Soul, & Song Tour shows on 6/3 & 6/5 in Denver and Colorado Springs have been cancelled. Please return to point of purchase for refunds.

A Message From Cas Haley:

It is with great sadness that Cas Haley has had to drop out of the first ever Spirit, Soul & Songs Tour, which was to feature acoustic sets by him, Kimie, Mike Love and Tubby Love. After suffering some recent issues with his voice, Cas saw a specialist in the last week and has been ordered on to vocal rest and ongoing voice therapy to recover. He has had to cancel his appearances on this tour, along with sets at Reggae In The Hills and California Roots Festival. The good news is that Cas expects to make a full recovery after a couple months of rest and hard work.  As a consequence our show will have to be cancelled.   Each artist hopes to set up rescheduled shows in those markets soon. Cas himself says, “I am so sorry to be disappointing fans expecting to see me, but I’ll be back on the road as soon as I can. In the meantime, I urge all of my fans to go out and support Kimie, Mike Love and Tubby Love, amazing musicians I am proud to call my friends!”
